Bella

This A3 oil portrait of Bella was completed over the course of two weeks. The majority of Bella was coloured using monochrome oils, blended with slight auburn tones, whilst the background used a mix of white, aquamarine and vermilion. I really enjoyed creating the curls which predominantly surrounded her body and ears, as well as her dark eyes and the tones of the hair around them. As Bella had such white fur, adding in the elements of colour really helped bring the painting to life, as well as adding in some pencil work towards the very end using Derwent Academy Pencils.
