Louie

This is an A4 oil portrait of Louie which took ten days to complete. I love the contrast of the background and the cat, as it feels as though the foreground is coming out of the painting. I especially love the eyes on this piece because of their size and striking colour. Another one of my favourite elements is the ears, as they show a beautiful dark pink shade within the outer black hair. The detail of the hair in the ears was created using Derwent Academy Pencils as well as any other small details in the painting to make it complete.
